It is already THREE months without hot water on the Curnock Street Estate (286 flats).
Your contractors and especially Mr David Brown (Senior Contract Manager) insulted the residents again last Saturday by stating in his letter (no contact deltails or references) that the current works: "...will not impact existing hot water..".
Since last Saturday 17th March 2012 the temperatures of hot water are suitable only for polo bears (the new maximum temperature for hot water is 26 degrees). We now don't have hot water even in the mornings while your contractors try to persuade us for the opposite.
On top of this, they call the works a "Service Improvement"!! Since when a further temperature drop of 10 degrees in the hot water is an improvement? Is 26 degrees Celsius acceptable for bathing a baby? Is it safe for a 84 years old lady to carry boiler water to the upper floor?
Your repairs team (call centre) is clueless about the situation and your other officers as well as you, are still refusing to update us or answer some of our questions.
As from today, myself and other residents will stop every payment to Camden Council and we will consider legal proceedings. I will also consult with the other residents (286 flats) for a demonstration outside Camden Council offices.
