FOI: Info Regarding The Scaffolding

Unsecure Scaffolding 19-05-2011 On 27 May 2011 we requested under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 some information regarding the Scaffolding outside the Goldthorpe building on 19th May 2011.

We requested:

1. Who installed the scaffolding?

The scaffolding was erected by Griffin Scaffolding.

2. How much did it cost the scaffolding?

The costs for scaffolding as outlined on the contractors estimate are:
£128.75 (Hire of scaffolding) + £257.50 (To erect & dismantle scaffolding) = £386.25

3. The name of all contractors / sub-contractors and Camden Council employees
involved on this project / repair.

The contractor responsible for the repair is Camden Building Maintenance. The subcontractor used for erecting the scaffolding is Griffin Scaffolding.

4. Cost of the roof hatch repair.

The cost to renew the missing roof hatch as outlined on the contractors estimate is
£600.00.

5. List and technical specifications of all the parts used for the roof hatch.

6. Name & address of the supplier.

The details of the supplies are:

7. Who made the decision to repair the roof hatch and when?

The repairs order was raised on 07 March 2011. The name of the Council officer who authorised the repair is subject to an exemption under the Freedom of Information Act as outlined below.

8. Was the scaffolding installed in the right place / area?

Due to an error on the part of the contractor it was installed in the wrong place. The scaffolding should have been installed at the end of the block.

9. Who is the manager for the whole repair?

The name of the Council officer who managed the repair is subject to an exemption under the Freedom of Information Act.
