Subject: Contacting the Police
Dear all,
It has been highlighted to the local police that there still remains some confusion, regarding who to contact, and what is the best number to call, when reporting crime or anti-social behaviour within the St Pancras and Somers Town area.
Generally, police should be contacted on 999 in the first instance, for reporting any crime that is progress, or if you believe that you, or somebody else is in imminent danger.
101 is used to report non-emergency incidents. This is for crimes that do not need an immediate police response, to give information about problems in your area, or to speak to an officer or member of staff.
You still have the option of calling the Safer Neighbourhood Team when they are on duty, however this is not a 24 hour response service. Calls made to 101 may still be allocated to the local Neighbourhood Policing Team via the Police Control Room.
The Council can be contacted on the 0207 974 4444 number. The Camden Housing patrol service operates from 6 pm - 0200 am, Monday - Sunday.
