4 Boroughs have Left Zurich and A Resident's Experience

Zurich Insurance Plc Fire Claim London Insurance Consortium had originally spent £10,000,000 for its building insurance with Zurich Insurance Plc. Since then 4 boroughs have left the Zurich Insurance. Unfortunately Camden Council still uses Zurich for its building insurance even if it is a very bad investment according to a resident who has ongoing problems for the last 17 months without home, 7 relocations, endless stress and poor quality of workmanship. Read the resident's experience at www.lifeafterfire.co.uk

The resident's experience with Zurich Insurance Plc shows the poor value that policy holders receive as well as the reasons why the insurance premiums go up every year.

For example, the insurance so far has spent £64,860 approx to repair his flat and more than £78,500 (still ongoing) to fix their own repair works. The last amount was spent due to bad management and poor workmanship.

He hopes the information below, as well as his website (www.lifeafterfire.co.uk) will help other residents that might have claims with Zurich to understand how the insurance operates and how it treats their customers.

He also hopes that the attached information will prevent those problems from happening to other people living on the four remaining boroughs which are part of the London Insurance Consortium. Hopefully that consortium will change its insurance provider or at least the way Zurich treats its customers.

Is that kind of insurance that we want for our homes and families?

Camden Council wants to renew the contract for another year which I personally find inappropriate considering the way they treat the policyholders.
