After the fire in the boiler room the Camden Council has not yet managed to repair the central heating and the hot water supply for the Curnock Estate. It is now the third day without any updates or progress.
The fire has also damaged the lights that are located behind the Goldthorpe building and as a consenquence the whole area between Goldthorpe and the Marr is dark and dangerous.
The Repairs Service Contact Centre informed us today about the heating and hot water problem. You can either read the letter below or you can download the original letter by clicking here.
This evening there was a fire inside the boiler room. The firemen told us that there was a problem with the industrial fuses which were inside a wooden fuse box. That wooden fuse box caught fire which led to a temporally power failure for most of the Curnock Estate flats.
The power failure lasted for 5 minutes. Unfortunately the hot water and the central heating were affected from that incident. More information soon.
You are invited to drop in session to find out more about the proposed heating works to your estate. A drop in session will be held in the day and one in the evening.
At the drop in sessions you will be able to discuss Camden Council's proposals with their consultant Chris Palmer from Nifes Consulting Group and Jackie Louis from Camden Council. The Councillorshave also been invited to the drop in sessions and so have representatives from the District Housing Office.
